Win tonight and Saturday, we are in the hunt for the champions league spots.
Win next week against Liverpool and then a easy ish game in the 5th round.
Lose them all and we are out the cup and looking at a boring mid table finish.
See what I mean?

As far as the table is concerned, the games following today and saturday will matter just as much for a top 6 finish.
We don't exactly have a great record against the bottom half of the table either.

I'm not totally convinced either which is why I am resiting that empting 10/11 on offer. I think we will win, but also think we are going to miss a Sakho or a Carroll again. Let's hope Valencia got out of bed on the right side today.

You'll get your answer tonight if we are serious about doing something this year or not.
I think the teams above us will lose enough that we will remain in the mix for a top 4 spot until the end of the season the games in March in APril we'll still have something to play for.
Question is can we take care of business in must win spots like tonight.
This years team has not been good in situations like this took us ages to get 3 points at home and Payet is usually a different player and bang on average when he plays against a shit side. I honestly don't know if we will thump them like we should.

If I've learnt anything from this season it's to take nothing for granted. Hoping for a 3-0 win but think we need to be fully switched on to not underestimate them as they are still a premier league team at the end of the day.
We all know how we love to gift a struggling team a platform!

I guess it's a sign of increased expectations that I'll be slightly miffed if we win by less than 3 clear goals.
Naturally, like everybody else,I'd welcome "just a win" as it's 3 points whatever the score, but we really need to start ramping up our goal difference as I think that could end up the decider on a European place this term.
Probably no better time to play Villa, either, so I want to see a 100% ruthless and clinical performance.

Feb is an important month, the fixtures on paper are winnable with Southampton away being the toughest.
We need to get some decent points on the board this month to take us into March we has some tricky games.
